Triumphs in Kneading
Whoever said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder was most certainly talking about my bread baking abilities. That's right...bread baking. As in, from scratch. As in, one domestic accomplishment down. Personal triumphs come in all forms. Mine is in that misshapen loaf right up there.
"Bake my own bread" has lingered on the bottom of my life to-do list for YEARS. Mocking me because the premise of it is so simple yet I can't seem to accomplish it. "Be the kind of person that bakes their own bread," that's that my list was telling me. Simple ingredients, complex execution.
So with my (now) very wise lessons in breadmaking underway and two very unfortunate looking but delious products to show for myself this is what I've learned. Eat it up.

They really are not that bad looking. Anyway, perfection is boring (and impossible right?). And they were SCRUMPTUOUS! Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy inside. I'm ready for round two!
