Knock, Knock, Knocking on Heaven's Door

I fell hard in love with this modern looking door knocker while I was walking to the market this weekend. Some diligent google searching turned up but one lead. Design Milk had tracked down my beloved knocker (and matching house numbers!) sold by Chiasso. Sadly, the knocker out of production :( Until we meet again...

Friday Finds

You know how it goes...one link leads to another and then another and then before you know it, you have 75 tabs open on your browser and more tidbits of inspiration than you can handle. Here, in completely random order, are all the things I'm loving from the www. this week:

Blue Motion Abstract Art from Horchow (and p.s. that wall color too). Way more expensive than any art I'll be buying myself in the near future...but hey, it's just some blue paint and some canvas, right? Maybe I'll bust out my artistic talent and give it a shot.

Brentwood Sofa from Barclay Butera Home. Sheer perfection of the upholstered variety.

Oh sweet Jesus, my mother was finally right...I do like something in the LL Bean catalogs she's constantly sending me. LL Bean's signature collection is taking notes from J.Crew.

I want to cover my entire house in these labels and never look back.

I know I swore off big bags, but this one could make me break my promise in a heartbeat.
Who needs a boring file folder, when I could have stacks of these on my desk!
I thought I was a white-upholstery-with-nailhead-trim only kind of headboard girl, but my love of stripes is winning out because I'm lusting after this little Dwell beauty from the one and only Tar-jay.

PinkRoses Etsy shop: $5 downloadable and printable calendars with profits going to charity. Zoom your mouse over there quick.

I'm going to bring back the calling card with these fab designs from Pixie Impress.

Make someone's day and bring a little kudos into their life via a chic happy sticker from Sunshine and Ravioli.
This is genius and I need one on my desk stat. Simple colored bands corral all the little notes and doodles that constantly cover my desk. MoMa always has the coolest things you never knew you couldn't live without.

I think I've died and gone to mirror heaven with these two from Horchow, both under $400. Top and Bottom.
Wouldn't they look great with this cheery yellow bamboo dresser from Paris Hotel Boutique spotted via Fyndes.

These Zipper Cups from Mollaspace solve my never ending battle to keep my tea bag string out of the bottom of my cup. Functional and pretty--see it does exist.

I'm offically a crazy person...

I saw this girl on the streets of DC yesterday afternoon looking just about as chic as is humanly possible. Fantastic white bike with..hello...an adorable basket containing....come on now...the coolest patent handbag, wearing...I'm gushing...an even more adorable yellow jacket.

I was blown away and wanted to follow her down the street to see if we could be friends. So, I tired to slyly snap a picture on my phone while we both waited for the light to change. Except she heard my camera snap and turned to look at me. So I did what any crazy-stalker like person would do and pretended to be talking on my phone while jumping into traffic to run across the street.

Clearly, I have issues.

Paperless Post

Remember the days of beautifully designed invitations arriving in your postal box with promises of fantastic get togethers. Then we got all busy and high-tech and decided that Evite was just all we could do. Now you can bring back the beauty of the old and the ease of the new-have your cake and eat it too!

I'm slightly obsessed with Paperless Post, Evite's very stylish competition. You can design, send, and track everything from dinner party invites to moving announcements. It's not completely free, but you the first few you send are. I already have a running list of parties that I need to throw, just so I can use all my favorites!

Oh, and the best part is the you can earn stamps (their currency) by inviting friends to join. So consider yourselves officially invited.
Help a girl out!
