What to Wear to Breakfast at Tiffany's

Some very lucky ducks may wake up to a piece of fashion history under the tree this month. Next week, Kerry Taylor Auctions puts up a large lot of fashion and textile pieces including some of those worn by Ms. Fair Lady herself.

See the entire lot here, which is fairly extensive and includes more than the Hepburn pieces. Though I wish it was better organized and more detailed to the history of the pieces, there are some stunningly beautiful gowns that could easily walk down the red carpet today (and probably look 100 times better than some of the new threads).

  1. I just read about this online this evening -amazing! You're absolutely right about so much of Audrey's style being current today. I guess that's what you get when you dress so timelessly and avoid trends. Oh Audrey...

  2. Oh, Scott. You're my fair lady...

  3. Audrey was a timeless classic lady, I always admired her so much. That Fortuny gown, breathtaking!

  4. Audrey was amazing for her time.
