Could I be...'gasp', traditional?

I've always veered away from any design labeled as "Traditional." I'm not traditional, I tell myself. Classic, maybe, but not traditional. Traditional is stuffy, old, stodgy. Like having matching floral wallpaper, draperies, upholstery and bedding.

But the truth is, there is a little traditional in me. I've always wanted to be a Carrie, but in reality, I'm completely a Charlotte. So, as I was browsing over at Traditional Home the other day, I guess it's not very surprising that I ended up with quite a few images in saved in the Idea Folders.

Is this not a great way to do an inspiration board without having corkboard having all over your wall.

I really like the clean lined front of these vanities.

A grown up version of the purple and green color-scheme I had in my childhood bedroom.

Without the patterned tile on the floor, this bathroom would be a snooze. One little detail makes all the difference.

I can imagine myself lying on this chaise in fluffy slippers with a drink in my hand.

I'm an eternal fan of dark walls and light colored pieces.

Ok, so this is pattern on the wall and the window treatments, but it's not floral and it's definitely not stodgy.

  1. I love the black frame that holds the bathtub. I didn't think black could look so good in a bathroom.
